Can I prevent users from deleting package status record in BPC 10.0 Data manager view status?

Our Controller is interested in preserving the records for audit purposes. The audit reports are too detailed for this purpose. He would like to ensure that no package status records are deleted. We have over 30 pages of data manager job history, any reason I should be concerned about the size of this log?

But dm logs has very limited information: only with WHEN/REC/ENDWHEN you have detailed record list! Nothing for rules, runallocation, data load etc...

Audit report is the right tool!
