Calc Member Flag property

Hello,

How Calc member flag is set in BPC?

In scope dimension - for Parent members i see calc member flag as "N".

BPC 10.1 NW.

Hi Meghana,

In addition to Rahul, Scope or Group type of dimension is used in Ownership & Consolidation model. Group is used to show the consolidated data/result of entities belonging to a parent. We use this Group as well as Entity dimension to save the ownership % from the ownership manager! So technically, we cant have a parent node to save the ownership data,consolidated data! Which is why I guess SAP has group members with CALC=N with no hierarchy. Hierarchy can be shown using the PARENT_GROUP property!

Hi Meghana,

By default, Calc Member flag will be "Y" for Parent Member. But the same is not the case with SCOPE dimension, we don't create a new hierarchy in scope dimension.

If there is sub group, then we use "PARENT GROUP" property for ownership manager.
