BW Multiporvider not visible in BPC Delta Initialization.

Hi All

Can you please clarify to the below points:

1. I am trying to setup Delta Initializaiton in BPC but I am not able to findout our BW Multi Provider which is source for BPC Data in BPC Delta Initialiation Process. I can see all the Infocubes that are part of Multi Provider.

Is there any thing we need to do from BW side so that the Multi Provider will reflect in BPC? i.e activation of multi provider etc...

2. Data has been loaded in BPC till April but from May onwords we want to set up a delta process to load BPC. As we know that Delta always run Full load in First run but we do not want to overwrite the existing data in BPC (Jan to April). Can we run the delta without selection of Full load check box so that BPC Delta process can read only new added data in BW (May onwaords).

Thanks

Srikant

Srikant,

I assume you are referring to BPC 10.0 or 10.1 Classic.

1. I believe you can't use a multiprovider as a source for a data load.

2. Yes, no data will be loaded at first. The system will create the first log point.

Hi Akos

Thanks for your reply

Yes we are using BPC 10.1 Classic.

As of now we are able to load the data from Multi Provider to BPC through this process chanin : /CPMB/LOAD_INFOPROV_UI.

But when we are trying to setup delta process the same multi provider is not reflecting in Delta Initialization configuration screen. Process chain  /CPMB/LOAD_DELTA_IP.

1. So you mean to say that Delta Initilization Process in BPC does not support Multi Provider? Correct me if my understanding is wrong.

2. If we will upgrade the system to BPC 10.1 Unified, Does the Delta Initilization Process in BPC support Multi Provider?

Thanks in acvance.

Thanks

"If we will upgrade the system to BPC 10.1 Unified, Does the Delta Initilization Process in BPC support Multi Provider" - there is no upgrade, it will be completely new system And you will work directly with BW cubes...

Srikant,

I'm not a BW consultant however I know that there is a change log that BW delta process reads once delta loads are initialized. I don't think MultiProviders have change logs associated with them.

As far as 10.1, Vadim said that the structure will be completly different. See the architecture difference between 10 and 10.1. The delta loads will depend on the same BW principles though.
