Business Process flow and Data Manager relationship

Hello,

I have created the business process flow for my consolidation activities, After data load completion changed the activity status as submitted and the same has been approved by the reviewer. So it's been updated as completed status.

After that again I tried to load the data for the same period in the Data Manager Package. Still its allowed to run the data upload for the same period. Ideally it should not allowed to run the DM  for the same period data is in it ?

Would like to know the integration relationship point between BPF and Data Manager Package run.

Note : I have not created any hyperlink for Data load in the workspace of the performer.

Anyone please explain the relationship on this. Please let me know for any other clarification.

Hello Raja,

BPF does not lock data and prevent data from being loaded again.  That is not the function of BPF but you can make that happen if you lock data through work status. BPF is a tool to organize business processes into a set of steps.  But it will not prevent the activity in each step from being executed again.  To do that you can use a combination of strategies when you are creating your activities.  For example you can incorporate a step to lock the data after it has been reviewed and approved.  Then work status lock will prevent any further update.  There are a lot of good online discussions about BPF and I think you will find them helpful.
