Dear SAP Experts,
we have a very specific request to have like a "scheduling Mechanism" for the Bukloading process from CC to CI, to have a normal loading frequency every minute lets say (achieved by the TIME_BASED_FILE_ROLLOVER_POLICY) but not bulkload the charged items in CI in a certain time frame 13:00 - 15:00 for example.
I tried to find this under the Data Files Bulk Loading Process and in the Configuration Guide of SAP CC but could not come to a final answer.
Is this something that can be achieved in SAP CC? Did anyone else have a similar request and how can it be handled?
Thank you,
Doris

Hi Doris,
CC has no such feature: the CIF settings are fixed and apply all the time.
If you wanted to choose a different frequency for some types of items, you could use the "itemSwitch" element, but this is probably not sufficient for what you're currently trying to achieve (it tells CC to choose the settings/operations based on the item's class name and field values).
Here's the corresponding documentation, though, just in case:
https://help.sap.com/docs/Convergent_Charging/11f35b088b20494ab55e788b213b9102/7d21a0d5ca1c4384a2bc4...
Other than this, the CC bulkloader always immediately processes whatever the rater sends to it (i.e., all the ARC.CSV, ARC.ZIP, or ARC.GZ files). So, if you wanted to suspend the processing for a while, you'd need to stop the rater from creating files (i.e., you'd have to stop sending charging requests to CC completely).
Best regards.
François
