Budgeting System in SAP

Dear All,

as like the Tally ERP systems, I am curious to know if there is a budgeting process in SAP. Could anyone guide me on the steps required to configure budgeting department-wise?

I would like to be able to input values department-wise, whereby they cannot purchase or create a purchase requisition once the value exceeds the budget.

There are multiple ways to create budgets. It depends on how your departments are set up as org units in SAP. One of the most common ways many customers use is cost centers. If that is your case as well, the below blog might be useful:
