Budget Period activation - Leading ledger 0L already contains postings

Hello,

My client wants to activate the Budget Period as mandatory in FM. However, FM was activated 6 years ago without checking the "Adjust Ledger" box so the system is blocking the activation with message "Leading ledger 0L already contains postings". Any advice on how to overcome this block is highly appreciated.

Hi Gabriel,

Can you specify the error? i don't remember experiencing this problem in a similar situation.

Hello, sorry for the late reply. FM was activated 6 years ago without the "adjust ledger" box checked. I am trying to activate the Budget Period dimension (Public Sector Management > Basic Setting > Account Assignment Elements > Activate Account Assignment Elements) .but when I do I immediately get an error message "Leading ledger 0L already contains postings".

So far I was able to go through by changing the message 160 from "E" to "W" so I just get a warning. But I have no idea of any other problems this might generate.
