BPC10 NW - YTD model, Periodic measure shows negative YTD

Hi BPC experts,

Question regarding YTD model and Monthly Periodic Forecast.
At the moment forecast is configured:
- Model YTD
- Category dimension has 12 members Forecast 1, Forecast 2... Forecast 12
- Actuals are copied to Forecast members matching Time dimension i.e. April -> Forecast 1, April + May -> Forecast 2, April + May + June -> Forecast 3
- Measures - input is done on periodic basis (YTD is confusing for users)

PROBLEM:
Once Actuals are copied the +1 TIME period for PERIODIC measure shows negative YTD.

Example:
Forecast 3 = April & May Actuals, June to March Forecast.
After Actuals are copied the result is:

Month Periodic YTD
April 100 100

May 150 250
June (250) 250
July 0 250
August 0 250

etc...

I'm struggling with 2 things here:
1. if input is done in June (user do input in periodic table, data is saved as YTD) the negative 250 is not removed i.e. Input = 10, results = (240)

2. How to remove negative number all together.
I've heard it can be done via script, but I've looked everywhere and cant find it!

Help please 🙂

It's by design - next month will show minus previous because YTD value of next month is zero!

The only thing you can do is to copy last loaded month value to all remaining months till the end of the year!

P.S. Logic of PERIODIC formula for YTD model:

PERIODIC VALUE=CURRENT MONTH - PREV MONTH

if CURRENT MONTH=0 then you get negative of PREV MONTH
