BPC Transport Error

Dear Experts,

We have recently upgraded from BPC 7 to BPC 10.1.

Transport from Sandbox to Development doesn't have any error. I am trying to transport from Development to Quality.

I am getting the below error:

BPC Version:SAPK-81008INCPMBPC

BW Version: SAPKW74013

Kernel Release: 742

Support Pack level: 300

Is this your first time transporting to QA?

Seems to me there are existing environment in QA.

This is the first time that we are transporting envt from Dev to Quality.

Yes, We have same environment in Quality also.

How did the same environment get to QA if you are using the transport the first time?

I would suggest that you delete the same environment in QA first before transporting.

Hi Andy,

Client was already using BPC 7. We then upgraded the BPC 7 to BPC 10.1 (sandbox, development, QA, Prd)

So BPC 7 has the same envt in all landscape.

Post upgrade, we made changes in development and trying to move the changes in QA.

When i said I am transporting development environment to QA, this is with respect to BPC 10.1 only.

Hi Rahul,

if that is the case then you need to correct those errors one by one,

eg,

• was the comment length increased or decreased
• fix the work status issue
• delete old templates in QA then transport from dev again
• add scope type dimension to ownership model

seems to me you are not using fixed cube parameter, I would advise to enable fixed cube name for your models.

Hi Andy,

I have checked all the settings.The source and destination system have same setting.

Strange thing is, Even after the transport fails, I can see the changes in Model and dimension.

Hi Eyal,

When we have upgraded the quality server, the work status was activated but there was some issues in setting. I then rectified the issues and has then switched off the work status setting.

Post this activity, I have transported the Development envt to Quality.
