Hi All
Can a STANDARD BPC be used as primary planning tool in S/4HANA instead of EMBEDDED?If yes, can we use both EMBEDDED and STANDARD solutions together. (we have few use cases for using both)?
What are the risks involved if we use Standard BPC in S/4HANA in terms of roadmap, performance and maintenance.
I have reviewed below blogs and other general answers in SAP, but still confused if it can recommended as solution instead of BPC on BW/4HANA. Are there any customers using the Standard in S/4HANA successfully.

Yes! No issues. I have done Standard project for one customer.

Yes, both can be used.
The customer initially implemented embedded, but was not satisfied with reporting for embedded.
Now he is happy with standard and some objects in embedded are used to load data into standard.

Appreciate your response.
Is it OK to use BW Extractors to fetch the transaction data to staging cubes then into BPC. Or is it best to use HANA based modelling to push data from ACDOCA into BW objects to be consumed by BPC.
What could be the risks with this particular use case within S4HANA? Since it is version10.1 , will there be an option to update to version 11.0 /11.1 with S4HANA or they continue to discourage the use of Standard BPC in favour of BPC Embedded.
Thanks

Both methods can be used, It's up to you to decide.
Even in the latest BPC11 versions Standard models are supported.
