BPC Stability

Hi All, we are finding that month after month we have inconsistencies and mis-alignments between ECC and BPC, forcing us to complete a delete/reload process to load data in full. We think the delta flags are not working 100% properly generating differences between ECC and BPC when reviewing the month end numbers. We are finding the root cause as "WL" goods issue/delivery activity because the dr and cr differences are identified 2 specific GL accounts, pointing us to this activity. Has anyone else had this issue?.

Hi Vadim, I understand that I have to do this myself. My question is: are other individuals finding that they have to reconcile differences between BPC and ECC on a routine basis - month to month, due to inconsistencies. That is my question, apologies if I wasn't very clear. thanks in advance for any comments. Regards, Doug

"reconcile differences between BPC and ECC on a routine basis - month to month, due to inconsistencies" - something strange! Never happens with correct setup.

Hi Douglas, I've seen that in a customer before but it's true it was due to a wrong configuration they had. I don't remember exactly how I fixed it but could be something related with the parameters selection and the filters in the delta, in other case they had a full instead of a delta, as Vadim says you will have to go step by step checking still you find out; check if the amount increases everytime you execute the process or if it is a change of symbol maybe it's just that one of your Amount symbols is not correct, if it only happens to the case you mention probably has a unique process for that part.

Thank, Vadim, for a reply, we find that when Finance reviews BPC reports, #'s in BPC Inventory account is different than ECC inventory account. i.e. the difference in inventory account is $500 with the offset difference between ECC Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) vs. BPC COGS is ($500). Same amount opposite sign. I'm just trying to get a sense of other company challenges with numbers in ECC vs. BPC and if others have to repeatedly clear and re-load cubes in order to keep the numbers aligned between ECC and BPC. Does this help?

Regards, Doug

Sorry, but never seen the issues like you mentioned. You have to find the exact reason for differences... It takes time, but you have to do it yourself.
