Hi,
We have BPC 7.5 running on microsoft machine and dot net machine and connected to NW 7.01. We want to upgrade BPC 10.1. Kindly guide me with the steps need to perform for migration & upgrade. As per my knowledge, we need to run BPC migration tool first and migrate BPC to NW then upgrade the NW to 7.4 which includes the BPC components.
Please share your feedback if the path above mentioned is ok, also what kind of risk or error we can have? or share some document or link how to start & finish this successfully.
Regards,

Hi Khuram,
We are planning to upgrade BPC 7.5 MS to 10.1 on NW 7.5.Can you please provide the steps which you have followed to migrate the same. It seems that there is no standard document for BPC MS 7.5 migration to BPC 10.1 NW 7.5.
Thanks .
Regards,
Bala.

Have a look at this blog....https://blogs.sap.com/2014/03/09/migration-to-bpc-101/
and 7.5 Upgrade guide....https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001201432009E
You need to first upgrade your NW component from 7.01 to 7.4 then run the migration program to migrate the BPC to 10.1
Also try to search on google....lots of information available upon upgrade!

JP

Thanks for your feedback, I have checked many forums, & videos I just need confirmation that do I need to run BPC migration tool first then upgrade the NW and BPC components? As per my understanding data is only in NW database so even if we upgrade the NW 7.01 to NW7.4 and update the BPC components it should work. Please correct if I am wrong.
Yes it will work!
Then accept the correct answer and close the discussion... 🙂
