BPC Model: Data Entry Mode (YTD vs Periodic)

hi everyone

In the BPC model setting, there is a setting for Data Entry Mode. It can be set as YTD or Periodic...

I'm not sure in what situation, it has to be set as YTD, and when to set as Periodic, as well as how the model stores the data for the 2 types of settings...

Could anyone enlighten me on this? Thank you.

Hi Edmund,

This decision would typically be based on the fact whether you want the data to be in periodic fashion or in YTD fashion. If your source is in YTD format, its better to have your application as YTD.

When the application has YTDINPUT as N, the data would look like

JAN   FEB   MAR 100   200   150

The same data with YTDINPUT would be

100   300   450
