Hi Team,

Would like to know what is the difference between

1. Select Start of the navigation path EPM Next navigation step More Next navigation step Clear Metadata Cache End of the navigation path or click the Clear Metadata Cache button in the Edit Connection and Create Connection dialog boxes

2. Program UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE

Are both functionalities are same??

Please explain.

Thanks,

Prasad Rangudu

First option is related to client side cache (EPM client on the local PC), second option is relates to central cache on the BPC server.

Thanks Vadim for your quick reply.

So i can confirm that there is NO link in between client side cache (EPM) and the program cache (Central).

If possible can you explain when we have to use EPM cache and central cache with a example or scenario.

Thanks,

Try to search notes for UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE to get info about BPC cache tables.
