BPC lite optimise

Hi BPC Experts,

Our BPC system is BPC 10 NW. There is a BPC package that we use for the data optimisation. The package is BPC lite optimise with zero elimination. The BPC system eliminates delta records in the BW info cube through this BPC package. We also use the BPC work status. There are three states of work status that we use such as Default, Unlocked, Locked. The BPC system does not allow users to change data in the locked state.

Once users have changed the BPC work status (locked state), then the Manager performs the BPC package Lite Optimise. The BPC system normally eliminates several delta records in the BW Info Cube, then generates a new record that reflects the latest balances. I do not see this action in my system. So that I should manually add up several delta records for a particular account to get the latest balances.

I guess that this BPC package could not eliminate delta records because of the BPC work status.

Please, I need your help and let me know your thought about the case above.

I think you are correct that you lite optimization won't be able to delete these records because they are at "locked" status. For those data regions that are not set to be "locked", the lite optimization works, right? If yes, I think it is by design of BPC.

I was trying to unlock a particular period that had data for account E9013 and I executed the BPC lite optimised package. This package did not remove delta records.

Sorry, but work status lock has no relation to lite optimize!

Sample:

Account A1 Time 2017.01 is locked and has data: +5

Using Clear package we delete data with check mark - Ignore work status

Result - in the cube we have 2 records: +5 and -5

Lite Optimize with zero elimination will remove resulting zero!

If you still have zero records after Lite Optimize with Zero Elimination then you have launched Lite Optimize without Zero Elimination in past.

To correct things use RSCDS_NULLELIM in SE38

After Lite Optimize with the mentioned settings your model data will be correct.

Hi Vadim,

I'm gonna explain my case with the scenario below.

I had had balances for the balance sheet account E9013. Then, I deleted this balances through the BPC clear package. I could see zero amount for this account in the BPC report. However, I still look at several records in the BPC info cube for this account (T-code RSA1). I was trying to add up these records and I got zero amount. It means the total amount of these records same as the current amount in the BPC report.

The BPC lite optimised package does normally remove these records from the BPC info cube. So that, I cannot see these records again. Unfortunately, this package did not do this action in my system.

I want to delete the account E9013 from BPC dimension. However, the BPC system does not allow me to do it since there are several records in the BPC info cube.

Sorry, I cannot give you the data screenshot above because of the company regulation.

With the mentioned settings: Number of requests that you do not want to collapse: 0 and swithched on Zero Elimination all requests will be green after Lite Optimization. Has to work absolutely correctly!

If you use zero elimination - what is the setting for last requests? Provide screenshot.
