BPC for materials planning

Dear all, I would like to know:

- If one is using BPC for materials planning not just financials, what is the shortest time period one can plan? Can one plan by day or week rather than just by month?

- Can one exclude certain materials based on status, such as obsolete or promotional materials? Or can this only be done later in the process when the plans are transferred into the operational steps such as SOP, MRP etc

Hi Michael,

You can do material planning in BPC. The shortest time period one can plan by day or week  but every aspect has its pros n cons . If go with day / week wise planning, the complexity will be more.  There is no restriction in terms of granularity.

- Can one exclude certain materials based on status, such as obsolete or promotional materials? 

-YES, You can exclude the material depending on status.
