BPC error after the installation

Hi Experts,

I have completed BPC 7.0 SP2 installation and connected BI 7.0 instance (EHP1 installation completed sucessfully, added BPC add-on). i installed BPC Admin client and connected to APSHELL but when i am trying to create new app set by coping existing one or try to modify any task profiles, i am getting errors like GetTaskProfileData() with object refreence not assigned. log file showing below error.

please suggest on this bcoz i stuck up in the middle of this task.

Hello Experts,

I have encountered a problem in BPC Admin.After Installation ,when I click the BPC Admin and follow the steps,I got an error in a dialog box like "BPC Admin Failed.. Cast from String "INFO" to type INTEGER is not valid".But Admin opens back and BPF is not working.I am using BPC 7.5NW SP07 .Kindly suggest me please.!

Hi All,

thank you all for your valuable time for me.

i am able to trace out the issue, this was cuased with "Message Queue" format, i followed as per the installation document like queue name is Private$\bpcmessagequeue , it went fine last installation and worked fine.

but this time, i have given same format but system configuration file has taken into wrong format and unable to read task status from queue cuased the issue. i have correct using below format.

<HOSTNAME>\$Private\bpcmessagequeue, this format for remote queue, but even requesting same format for local queue also.

anyway thank you all once again for your efforts.

i resolved replacing "private" with "Private"

try this: .\Private$\BPCStatusMessageQueue

Hi,

thank you for the reply.

I have recreated APSHELL again now and try to copy Apshell to new appset thorugh admin client , it is still showing the error on admin client screen like

"Unexcepted error in the application server" when you say details, it is display "An unhandled exception has occured in your system, ifyou click ,it continues by igmoreing errors or click on quit to close the application: if you say continue, sometime appset is created partially or sometimes its not at all creating in the application server.

Please sugget me on this, i stuck on this since two days.

Actually i have performed the installation with domain user only, right now i have checked batch job which run when appset copy , it is failed due to below error.

No InfoProvider exists with name "/CPMB/ATIRCJO"

Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE

programe name: UJA_COPY_APPSET_OPT

please suggest.

Hi,

it looks like the Apshell which you activated duirng ABAP configuration using UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT program is not done properly. Check in rsa1 if you can see two cubes, infoobjects etc...

if you have another landscape compare it to check they are same. if not, delete the Apshell using the same program and reactivate it.

Did you performed the installation using a domain user or a local user?

The error message ii saying that actually you performed the installation using local user not a domain user.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object, an unhandled exception has occured in your application when creatign new application set.

Hi ,

thank you for the reply,

Installation was completed sucessfully and applied the updates of SP2 version also, is there any way to findout the installation status now? this is my second system installation in my landscape and i didnt get this error last time. any suggesion on this?

Hi,

I am not sure of this but I would like to share my thoughts. Can you please log in to server and log in to the admin client on the server and enable access to the user you are trying.

It looks like something got to do with the security and access to the user. Please also define required member access profiles and task profiles.

Just a thought...give it a try.

Hi,

It seems the installation of .NET BPc server was not succesfully completed.

I can see that error message mention about is saying that a method is missing.

Check the evetn viewer log from .Net server and also please check the BPC logs including installation log.

If everything is fine there the please check into NW server if you have any dump or error.
