BPC EPM report lost connection

Former Member

Hello,

Has anybody an idea how to deal with such issue ?

BPC reports are generated automatically and distributed to end-users.

We recently found out that some reports are wrong because connection to BPC was somehow "lost" and therefore data not refreshed properly.

Is there any EPMfunction that returns connection errors ? or how would you deal with such issue?

Thanks a lot

regards

Manu

Hi Emmanuel,

Alternatively, you can write a simple macro in workbook open to automatically refresh and connect the layout to the server. Let me know if you need further inputs.

when the report is connected to BPC , it will returs figures after refreshed.

If no connection to BPC, no figures / 0

Hi Manu,

use =EPMServer() formula to see if you are connected to the server or not.

you need to identify why it lose its connection, do you use VPN?

Do you work with different connections with different reports?
