BPC Embedded Work Status

Hi,

On BPC embedded I need to create work status. I have Cost Center Info object based on hana view. Hierarchy is manually built in BW system. I have created work status on the model with Cost center as locking dimension with owner property. I have assigned owner for each cost center. Work status works fine without any issues if I set the work status for each cost center. But when I try to set the work status for a hierarchy node, i get the error message

You cannot change the work status for Unlocked.See Details

Current user is neither owner nor manager of the selected region; MsgClass: RSBPCW_EXCEPTION
How to set the owner/manager property for hierarchy nodes in embedded.

Hi Selva,

Are you the Manager of the Hierarchy Node you are trying to set the Work Status for?

Work Status is always manager owner related.
The owner is the user you assign to the element of the characteristics. The manager of the owner is the User who you assigned to the Node of the element the owner is assigned to.

Since I'm not sure what your actual problem is exactly. You might also want to take a look at this note, since it explains how a manager can set the work status of a child node.
