Hi Experts,
We are working on BPC Integrated on HANA and client had strictly instructed to use AMDP instead of normal planning functions using ABAP. We have worked on and multiple implementation using planning functions with ABAP coding and are aware of that approach. Can somebody guide me on how would you typically implement AMDP in below scenario(we have much complicated scenarios and I am mentioning a simple scenario in order to understand what should be the ideal approach to handle requirements like this)
Lets say we start planning for next year FY21. We already will be having actuals for n number of months lets say till September. for rest months we need to consider estimated values for rest months and based on these number we need to generate planned figures after user inputs some growth %.
Please guide on how to implement AMDP in this simplest scenario.
Do we write the whole logic using SQL statements in AMDP or we use AMDP to get actuals data and apply custom logic using ABAP coding. What should be our approach in ideal scenario. Can loops in ABAP be replaced with AMDP codes and does it affect the performance?
Sorry for lengthy question. I am new to BPC on AMDP .
Thanks,
Manish Anand
