BPC Consolidation - IFRS and US GAAP Model

Hi Friends,

My client has been using BPC periodic model for its IFRS reporting.

Now they want to build a new model for USGAAP reporting. The client agrees that YTD model will be helpful, but they still want new model to be periodic type, as this will help them troubleshoot any difference in reporting between the two model.

I have following two question

1- What problems can arise in future if we make keep IFRS model as periodic and develop US GAAP model as YTD.

2- Is it advisable to have two model i.e IFRS and USGAAP of same type i.e Perodic or YTD.

The advantages of YTD model are not related to consolidation type (IFRS or USGAAP). You can perform USGAAP in periodic model but it's better to have both USGAAP and IFRS as YTD.
