BPC -BW Migration issue

We have  recently migrated to BW 7.4 SP14, BPC 801 SP13.

We have multiprovider and it contains BPC models.

when i try to run bex query.. it automatically goes to debugging mode.

when i try to display data on multiprovider it displays the below error.

"user doeenot exist in appset "XXXX"

" An exception with the type CX_UJ_OBJ_NOT_FOUND occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause"

when i try to display the user list in  table UJE_USER, UJE_USER_TEAM

it displays zero records.

Do i need to maintain users in this table... please let me know

Note in prd  system we have also identified that one model missed in multiprovider but when i try to execute in dev i am getting same as above.

Thank You

Hi,

You need to do all your maintenance in the BPC web admin. ie, user maintenance.

Did you create a custom multi provider to include BPC models?

Please give some background on what are you trying to do.

I have been given access now i am not getting any error when i try to display data from multiprovider.

but when i run the query in RSRT. it displays no data and even i check the provider also.

I need to check with the onsite team whether "use as Source of data" is configured or not

please check the attached screenshot

other than this option is there any configuration needed in bpc side.

Thank You

Hi Andy,

BPC team can see the data in the model in BPC where as i cannot see the data in BW virtual provider.

it is not fectching the data in bw virtual provider.

I have asked  BPC team to uncheck & check the "use source as data"  for the model in BPC side.

is there any reason for not populating the data into virtual provider.

Hi HP,

have a look at this note.

http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1730125

Is this the standard BPC generated virtual provide you are referencing to?

Andy...

Yes these are the BPC generated virtual providers"_B" cubes.

there are 8 cubess on the multiprovier , two cubes populating the data and the rest displays no data.

so i suggested to unckeck and check the "use source as data".

before doing this i suggested to maintain a parameter ā€œENABLE_FIXED_CUBENAMEā€  in SPRO, because i have identified that the two cubes which are displaying the data ...genetrated two times.

is this correct solution

Can you please take a screen shot?

Fixed cube name is when you want the model's technical to be fixrd, you are reporting from the virtual provider, so it won't affect your reporting.

Those _B are not for reporting, you only can report from the top level virtual provider.

hi HP,

So you created the multi provider on top of these BPC cubes?

have you enable "use source as data" for all those models?

i have enabled "use source as data" for all those models.

i can see the data in each cube now.

if i display data for all dimensions i can see the data for each cube

but i cannot see on the multiprovider and bex query.

Thank you

Hi HP,

don't use BPC cubes, use the multi provider that is created on top those the BPC cubes, see below. once you enable "use source as data" those multi provider will be created for you to use.

Hi Andy,

i can see the data now  on bex query.

Steps that i followed.

1. Deselect and select "use as data source" for only one virtual provider but i got  the following error "Model settings cannot be changed"

2. Ran the programme "UJHANA_REFRESH_VIR_CUBE" for all models.

3. Now i can see the data for the model which i select "use as data source".

4. I ran bex query with the restriction for the particular info provider.

5.I can see the data now.

but i have question. the model not changed with "use as data source"

but how  can i see data for the provider.

Do i need to do steps for all the models?

Do i need to follow the same steps in each system (Test and PRD)?

Thank You
