BPC Admin Client not working on a 64 bit windows machine

Hi All,

The BPC Admin Client software does not load on  a users machine running 64 bit windows machine.

The server I believe is a 32 bit software.  Would someone have instructions as to where to download the admin client 64 bit version from? I did try the SAP website but have not been successful so far.

Thank You for the help.

Hi Daniel,

Tried it and it did not work. The admin client will not load on the user's machine. Is there a way in the Microsoft version where the Admin Client can be used from the web.

At this time any help will be appreciated.

Thank You,

Indu

Hi Roberto,

What service packs are you using with BPC 10.1? Reinstallation does not help. There are a few machines which have this issue and the only common thing is that they are Windows 64 bit machines.

Thank You,

Indu

The PAM does suggest that Windows7 32 bit/64 bit is good with BPC. But, what we are seeing is that on he 64 bit machines, BPC admin does not open up at all.

We are on BPC MS 10 SP 13 currently. Do we have to upgrade to 15 or above in order for BPC to work on Windows 64 bit machines.

Thank You,

Indu

Hi Indu,

I'm using Windows 7 64 bit with BPC 7.5 and 10.1 and It works good with both versions.

It's your a recent installation? If so maybe something goes wrong during installation and you have to reinstall it from scratch.

Regards

Hi Indu, be sure if server is 32 / 64 bits.  Seems to be a Library problem. Re-install correct .Net Framework libraries for VBA. Example version 3.0 4.0, etc, remember MS is bellow and UDO structure, so you need to have the same for all (excel file, Admin BPC 32/64 and EPM 32/64). Check this link and look for inside correct versión and install: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653
