Hi Team,
We have upgraded the BPC Add-on in our BW DEV server from 7.5 (CPMBPC 754 SP03) to 10.0 (CPMBPC 801 SP14)
Note: The BPC Web server is installed on a separate box and the BPC Add-ons are installed in BW Server.
The UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_10 report ran successfully for the BPC Appset that we are using
Could you please help us in getting this issue resolved.
Also I heard that from BPC 10.0 onwards the web server is integrated into the BPC Add-ons. So can we remove the existing BPC webserver of DEV Sever as it is upgraded to 10.0.?
Also we are not able to login into the BPC Web admin client from IE11 browser or chrome
Followed the SAP Note 1648581 - Blank Screen in web client after upgrade to new SP
But still no luck. Please help us in getting the BPC 10.0 working.
Let me know if you need any other information.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Mahesh.

Hi Pandeswara,
You need to complete all the post installation steps in the installation guide to activate environmentshell.
for BPC 10 you need to use IE for web admin.
have a look at this note for chrome support. http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2063869

Hi Andy,
Thanks for your reply, What you mean to say is that even though it is an upgrade we still need to perform the post installation steps mentioned in the installation guide? Is that correct?
The scenario which we have followed for upgrading our BPC is on the same server upgrade method which is shown below. It is now where mentioned in the upgrade guide to perform the post installation steps of the installation guide. Could you please clarify me on this?
Direct upgrade on the same server
●System copy from Business Planning and Consolidation NW 7.5 production system to a new system
●Upgrade SAP NetWeaver from 7.01 to 7.3
For information on the steps involved in upgrading the SAP NetWeaver platform from version 7.01 to 7.3, see the SAP NetWeaver 7.3 ABAP Upgrade Guide.
●Upgrade Business Planning and Consolidation for SAP NetWeaver 7.5 to 10.0
●Pre-customize system based on 10.0 requirements, for example RFC destination and service user BPC_SERVICE
●Execute migration program to migrate 7.5 data into 10.0
Also can you please provide the detail steps to activate the Environment Shell if you have those? The below are the steps that are provided in the installation guide.
The main steps after installing Planning and Consolidation are the following:
1.Activate your SAP technical business content – see Activate Your SAP Technical Business Content [page 23].
2.Generate the required authorization profiles and perform a User Mass Comparison – see Generate Required Authorization Profiles and Perform User Mass Comparison [page 24].
3.Configure the Planning and Consolidation ABAP add-on – see Configure the ABAP Server Component [page 24].
4.Ensure that Internet Communication Framework services are activated – see Ensure ICF Services are Activated [page 28].
5.Log on – see Log On [page 28].
6.Enable HTTPS for the ABAP server – see HTTPS Settings ICF Procedure [page 28].
7.Configure Single Sign-on — see Configure Single Sign-on [page 29]
8.Set up the SLD Data Supplier, which is the central directory of all of your system landscape information. For more information, see Configuring the SLD Data Supplier in the Administrator's Guide.
9.Optional configuration steps [page 29]:
a.Update the Persistence Service – see Update the Persistence Service [page 30].
b.Set up a job to publish messages – see Set Up E-mail Job [page 32].
c.Enable virus scanning – see Enable Virus Scan [page 33].
d.Configure Content Lifecycle Management – see Post-Installation of Content Lifecycle Management [page 33].
I will check the above post installation steps of the installation guide and will get back to you shortly.
Yes I am using IE 11 for accessing the web admin but with no luck.
Thanks,
Mahesh.
