Dear,
we have upgraded from BPC 7.5 SP11 Patch 6 to a new server with Patch 9.
All workbooks who are locked (through the workbook options) and are auto-expand on open give an EVDRE
error on open.
When pressing cancel and refresh manually everything is fine. The client with patch 9 is installed on Excel 2010
When checking the log on the local PC :
The cell or chart that you are trying to change is protected and therefore read-only.
"
To modify a protected cell or chart, first remove protection using the Unprotect Sheet command (Review tab, Changes group). You may be prompted for a password.#
"
IMPORTANT : the lock has been set only through workbook options NOT through Excel !
Any solution ?

Thanks for your answer Stefan,
the ticket has been opened.
Is there any issue to work with Patch 6 Client for Excel 2010, connecting to a server patched to level 9 ?
thx,

I suspect you may be running into a bug. Open a support incident to confirm the issue and hopefully you can get a fix before BPC 7.5 goes out of support in March.
