BPC 11 very Confused Planning Only

Hello,

I'm trying to find good documentation, but I can't seem to find it. Will BPC 11 utilize what was embedded BPC or standalone? It seems Fox code is the way of the future for better performance.

The last part is our users like being able to run DM packages. How is this replaced in BPC 11 or is it unnecessary? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Matthew,

BPC 11 also has model types BPC Standard and BPC Embedded, so if you like can use the BPC Standard models.

In BPC Embedded there are no DM packages, you can use planning functions, planning sequences or BW process chains instead. The blog

(sorry for self-reference) might also be relevant; you only have to replace InfoCube by cube-like aDSO and MultiProvider by CompositeProvider there.

Gregor

So standard still use EPM and single key figure models instead of BW cubes and aggregation levels?

Thank you great document! That answered my second question as well. I'm still struggling with how the BPC model links to the real time aDSO. Any good links showing examples of those?

Hi Matthew,

Have a read of this blog: https://blogs.sap.com/2017/05/30/what-is-sap-business-planning-and-consolidation-11.0-version-for-sa...

It should hopefully clear up any doubts.

BPC 11 and BPC 10.1 both support standard and embedded models. The main difference is that BPC 11 only supports BW/4HANA and BPC 10.1 will not support BW/4HANA.
