BPC 11 Standard drill through to S/4 Transaction Code

Hi,

I belong to the BPC team.

I have set up the basic configuration of drill through (DT) from BPC 11 standard to S/4 transaction code. It is working well for the base members.

However when I cursor-click on a parent node in BPC which is technically at the same level and node in S/4; the query does not return data. Ideally the data should be returned for all entries for the respective base members under that node.

I checked online and get to know that we need to include additional parameter in the DT configuration but this applies to the call to a target BEx query.

Do we have something similar when the target is a S/4 system?

Thanks,

Pankaj

Vadim,

Thanks for your responses.

Apparently the node to node passing is not possible with EPM to S/4 but only from EPM to BEx.

I do not understand the idea to drill parent node...

In the report you have:

Parent: 20

Base1: 10

Base2: 6

Base3: 4

Why it can be useful to drill 20 instead of individual base members?

Hi Vadim,

For a simple reason, that user should not require to click 3 times to get the details associated with Parent.

In the real life user will never click on all figures 🙂

Drill down is required if the value is somehow strange (too big). And it will be visible on the base member level:

P.S. Talk to finance people...

Hi Vadim,

I get your reasoning, although the user would want to see the detail level for multiple anomalies under same parent in one click.

I would assume that there should be some parameter I can use in the drill through configuration with respect to the node level mapping between BPC and S/4.

Thanks,

Pankaj

"the user would want to see the detail level for multiple anomalies under same parent in one click" - from my experience it's extremely rare case 🙂
