BPC 10 ACCOUNT Dimension ACCTYPE=INC and EXP Question

Hi Friends,

I have a question on Account Dimensions Property ACCTYPE = INC or EXP. Below is my scenario.

I have list of accounts in my Account Dimension and I have marked ACCTYPE = INC for Income Accounts and ACCTYPE = EXP for expenses accounts. But Income accounts showing "-" in reports. why is that so?

BPC 10 Report: Exmaple:

                              Jan    Feb    Mar

Income Account      -100   -200  -300

Expense Account     50      70     80

And What should be the Account type for hierarchy for Adding Income accounts + Expenses Accounts = PL account?

Hi Kumar,

The Sign varations differs depending on the Account Type & also depending on how you performed the Transaction DataLoad....

It is because in BW system the signs for this INC & EXP Accounts are reversed & when it displays in BPC System it will show in reverse sign..

For PL Account Hirearchy use INC Account type...

Hi Kumar,

This is a normal behavior. KBA: 1522025 describes this behavior in BPC. Please refer to it.

You can also download the IFRS Environment and restore it to your system and check how BPC maintain ACCOUNT dimensions as a very good example.
