1. Do we have to take system offline in source and target before the transport? How do we take system offline in BPC 10.1?
2. Where can we find documentation on BPC NW 10.1 transport? Is it different from BPCNW 10 transport.

Yes it is mandatory to take the source and target environment offline during transport.
Please refer the link.You can also maintain Global parameter to ensure auto offline of environment.
