1. Do we have to take system offline in source and target before the transport? How do we take system offline in BPC 10.1?
2. Where can we find documentation on BPC NW 10.1 transport? Is it different from BPCNW 10 transport.

Yes You have to take system Offline Before Transport.
Yes its is same as 10.0 and to take System online >>>>
Go to Admin > Click On Manage all Environments > Click on your Environment and Change the Status to offline..
