Dear All,
As BPC admin, I have created a new task profile(TP1) with all the tasks, EXCEPT tasks pertaining to the following ones:
- Maintain Environment
- Maintain Security
I have created a new user and assigned this profile(TP1) to the user. When the new user tries to create a model(after logging in), it fails, giving the following error message:
----------------------------------------------------------
You do not have authorization for InfoCube /CPMB/JKIKEVG
InfoCube/InfoProvider does not exist
----------------------------------------------------------
Note that, the new user has been given basic roles at the SAP BW side.
Is this an error? Or, Is this behaviour expected by design? Does this mean that, only users, with SAP_ALL privilege, can create models?
Pls. help to resolve if this is an error.
Thanks,
Peri

Hello Peri,
Please provide versions: 10.1 standard or embedded, CPMBPC and SAP BW component patches.
1. What have you assigned to the user as Data Access Profile?
2. Has SU53 any information? Logon to SAP GUI with your user, then try to create a model in BPC with that new user account, receive that error again and type SU53 in GUI window.

Ekaterina

Hello Peri,
You can confirm if the issue is due to security profile or something else. I recommend giving the user all the task profiles including maintain Environment and try again. If adding the profile does not resolve the problem then investigate on the server side
On the server side I suggest running UJA_DATA_CHECKER for the environment that contains the model that you are trying to copy.

Leila

Hi,
Do not use SAP_ALL. If this is security profile related then you can confirm it by assigning all the BPC task profiles.
I recommend taking one user for testing. Assign that user ID to only one team that has all tasks profile that includes everything. Then test.
when you assign users to BPC task and data access profiles, in the backend all the BPC specific related security objects are created automatically. With the correct BPC security objects you should not need SAP_ALL. Then test that way and if the problem resolved then you can focus which specific task profile is needed.
Best Regards,
Leila
