BPC 10.1 Embedded: Workstatus Clarification

Hi,

I'm facing 2 issues while setting up the work status in my model; please let me know if there is a way to resolve the issue.

1. I can't add more than 1 dimension as locking dimension in my work status; PFA for the issue details. As I add dimensions in "Other Dimensions" section and Enable Workstatus, the system hangs. These "Other" dimensions are created as normal IOBJs (non Masterdata, Non Compounded). The same workstatus will be activated without any issue if I select only one dimension.
2. Notifications: I'm not getting email notifications though I set it. What are the pre-requisite for the same from system perspective?

Hi Bhat,

Work status supports 1 to 14 locking dimensions. default number is 5 dimensions.

If you want to change the locking dimension number Run T-Code RSBPC_ADMINand change the value of BPC_WS_DIM_COUNT Property.

Raghu,

for the emails to work, the email settings on the BW side have to be set up first. The below link has the NW server setup for an older version of BPC but it should still be relevant.

For work status, are all of the IOBJ that are driving the workstatus included in the model ... can't use External IOBJ for Work status in 10.1 Embedded. Otherwise it should work, I'm not sure if there are any outstanding notes for older SPs. Here is a screenshot from a demo system with multiple WS validation dimensions

Thanks for the reply.

I have cross checked the dimension and it's present in the model in scope; so, I'm not sure if this is the problem.

I'm using

a. SAP BW 740 SP12

b. BPC SP7

Please let me know same from Demo system you are referring to.
