Hi there,
I am starting the implementation of BPC 10.1 Consolidation for my customer and I am facing the following issue:
All my cubes are empty and I am trying to delete a member from a dimension:
Then when I save and process the dimension:
When the dimension has been processed, the member is back:
Do you have any idea why I am not able to delete any members (This is applicable for all my dimension)?
I have a work around by doing the deletion direclty in BW via RSA1 (and also execute the program UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE) but i would like to do my administration from BPC and not from BW.
Thanks in advance for you help
Best Regards
Louis

Hi all,
Thanks a lot for your help.
The thing is, even if I create from scratch a new dimension and I don't link this dimension to any model, I still can't delete any member of the dimension.
Example:

No, this is right. As long as SM37 shows BPC_SERVICE.
So, you are saying that after Dimension processing finishes successfully that member is still in BW InfoObject, right?
Can you please check if Role SAP_BPC_SERVICE hasn't been modified from delivered Role. Particularly authorization to delete records from a BW InfoObject.
Thanks,
Gersh
Hi Louis,
It's not only Model. If that member is used in BPF, Reports, Authorizations etc. you won't be able to delete it.
Do you have access to the back-end (BW) to check what the background processing job reported?

Gersh

May be you have zero's... preventing you to delete the members! Use optimize with zero elimination!
