Hi Experts,

I would like to do SAP BPC 10.1 and Disclosure Management installation. Our environment has SAP ERP Ecc6 (FICO/MM and HCM modules) and also BI but not SAP DW instead we have a non-SAP.

How does the set-up process go and what would be the best architecture since we want these to be on a separate hardware and then integrate later once the installation is done. Any step-step installation and set-up guide.

Thank you.

Duncan

Hi Duncan,

You will have to install the DM and BPC on separate hardware....for step by step guide refer to the market place for the installation guides for each. Both are part of EPM Suite... so I guess it wont be so difficult to install together. I would also advise to take help of SAP Support since you have non-SAP (on which DW is BI installed?).

RDS for BPC and DM is also available...you can take a look at it too.Why use SAP Rapid-deployment solutions for BPC? | SCN

Duncan,

SAP BPC runs on either Netweaver platform or Microsoft platform. If the company would like to invest in SAP BW, it is better to do Netweaver platform as the integration between SAP ECC and SAP BW is already built-in.

Let's not talk about the installation steps before the executive decision has been made.

Hendry,

We already have the equivalent BW platform in place, SAP ECC6 environment in place and now wants to implement BPC and DM.
