Former Member

Hello everybody,

I am facing a problem copying the ENVIRONMENTSHELL on our BPC 10.0 NetWeaver System. It is failing because I get the message, that the comment and the archive comment tables are missing for the consolidation model.

Do somebody had a similar problem? Can you please help me?

Thank you in advance!

Georg

Hi everybody,

I was able to solve the problem. The following helped me:

1.Run UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT

2. Check everything including "Clean Environment" and delete the ENVIRONMENTSHELL

3. Follow the instruction on sap note 1615644 to reactivate the ENVIRONMENTSHELL

After everything was done I am now able to see the tables.

Thanks for your help!

Best regards,

     Georg

Hi,

thank you for all of your messages.

The comments for the model consolidation are already actived in  the epm web admin.

I did the copy process through the frontend not the backend.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Georg,

Did you do the activity with respect to the work status, as I had suggested in my previous post.

Hi all,

I did all you said, but still doesnt work. I checked out in BW if something was wrong with the comments table in the Consolidation model, and it actually doesnt exist:

COMMENT:[N/A]

I also checked out the Planning model and it has a table, so something must be wrong here, any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Nick,

it is good to know that I am not the only one with this problem!

I also did everthing you told me and our Basis has updated the system to the latest SP09 but still no tables available.

Same as Nick, do you have any other ideas?

It is very frustrating because we even will not use the consolidation function of BPC. :]

Thanks all so far!

Hi Georg,

If you have followed the installation document correctly and even tried to check the things suggested above, if the problem still persists, it is better to raise an OSS and let SAP look into the issue.

Hope it helps.

Hi Georg,

How you are trying to copy the ENVIRONMENTSHELL? Through BPC web admin console or do it through backend BW?

If you are doing it through BW backend, please try to copy through BPC web admin.

From the Home page in web admin click "Planning and Consolidation Administration">In the Administration tab that opens up click "Manage All" on the top right side  >Select ENVIRONMENTSHELL and click copy.

Hope this help.

Regards,

Kalyan.

Hi Raghu,

thank you for your fast reply. Please see screeshot(err_copy_shell.JPG) for error message. The first part of the screenshot is the UJ_ACTIVATE_CONTENT log where you see that the system identifies that the two tables are missing. In the second part you see the message of the copying process which is in German and means "Commentable of (ENVIRONMENTSHELL - Consolidation) not performed; Table not available.

Thank you!

Hi Georg,

Please go to the consolidation model in the environment, and ensure that the "enable comments" has been selected, and then try again.

One more error, I noticed was with the time dimension in the work status setting. Please go to features -> work status. Go to work status setting for the consolidation model, and enable the time dimension.

Then run the program UJA_ACTIVATE_CONTENT once again.

Hope this helps.
