BOM transfer from ECC to GTS

Hi GTS Experts ,

I was trying to transfer BOM from ECC to GTS and I am getting unit of measurement error as 'unit of measure LBX differs from KG in product master for the material no'.

I could find base unit of measurement of material in MM03 is KG, whereas Base quantity UoM of BOM in CS03 is LBX. Could you please provide your inputs to transfer BOM to GTS.

Hi Jaiji,

This check was introduced by Sap in standard through note "1651123 - Storing bills of material: Differing base unit of measure".

"The base unit of measure in bills of material is compared with the product master. If they are not identical, the bills of material are not stored in the GTS system and the system issues an error message."

So you have to check with Business whether it is valid ?or you have to check with Sap accordingly.

Hi Jaiji,

Please check the Material Master - Additional Data - unit of measure, what values maintained. please maintain the UoM and try to transfer the BoM , it will be transferred successfully.
