BOFC - programming/coding structure

Hi. I'd like to know if BOFC is applying the same program development / transferring environment with ECC/Hana. For example, is ABAP Basis programing applied to BOFC? Or, is BOFC totally different structure with ECC/Hana from developer's stand point?

ECC and FC are 2 different products with their own environment.
