Block access to BPF via EPM Add-In

Hi,

Is it possible to block access to BPF by running the process in EPM Add-In for a selected group of users (teams) in SAP BPC 11.1?

But the users would be able to run the BPF from a browser and fill in the data on an Excel form.

The problem is that when users run BPF from EPM Add-In they make changes to already closed tasks.

How to restrict this? The level of permissions?

Regard, Iwona

Hi benniejayfguevarra,

Thank you for your reply. Actually, it would also be enough for me as a workaround to disable from the BPC 11.1 page - "Settings" tab > ability to run the add-on by user. Maybe you know how to hide or prevent some users from running the add-on from this level? Although it seems to me that this is not subject to castomization but maybe I'm wrong so I ask. I would be grateful for any advice.

Thanks,

Iwona

Hi Iwona,

I don't think there is a standard feature to disable EPM add-on access on the user when BPF is finished. You have to manually remove it form their Task Profile to be able to do that, which would be so bothersome for the BPC Admin.

Thanks,

Bennie

Hi iwonasmartcon,

To control the inputting data of users or teams directly from EPM Add-in in Excel you can have a work status change at the end of the BPF so they are locked from changing the data.

Thanks,

Bennie
