Hi Folks ,

I have come across a scenario where i need to implement a badi for automatic updation of the package status by sending email attached logs .

I have gone through a document where custom process chain has been used but here i can not use custom process chain .

If any one have any idea about it .

A standard process chain is copied.....and created as new one!

The scenario is to execute a Data Manager Package which triggers Allocation Logic Script. During this process the standard allocation process chain needs to be copied and enhanced by adding a process type called ‘BPC: Send Email’. Additionally, ‘Send_Email’ Task has to be added in the DM Package-modify script to trigger the Email with an attachment.

Sorry, but the topic author read exactly the same document. And in this document the new custom chain is created. It's ok for me, but not for him

Maybe..... What I guessed was he read another document which is for 7.5 NW which asks to create a new custom process chain.....

First of all please explain what chain do you use in your package!

I have process chain for loading transational data .

And why you "can not use custom process chain"?

Because system is already stable now , and if we make them to custom chain then there might be issue at the time of upgrade so we donot want to make any kind of changes other than writting Badi code .

Sorry, but there is no other way then custom chain!

The routine badi will run before the actual load of transaction data!
