Hi Experts,
We have configured Firefighter for HANA DB system and while logging to the firefighter session it is asking for a user id and password and when trying to give one it ends up with authentication failed error. My understanding was that the firefighter id details will be populating automatically all we need to do is to copy the password which even is not working, i had to provide the credentials manually after which i get authentication failed error. I have checked the id in the backend and it is not decativated and in validity.

Hi Neeraj,
did you test the RFC, both connection and the authorizations?
Kind regards,

Hi Neeraj,
do you get the same issue when using another browser?
Also, does the RFC user of the RFC connection work? You can check the authorization in the menu of tcode SM59.
Kind regards,
Yee-Tee

Hi Y.T,
Thanks for the inputs.
Scenario connection type link - CL_GRAC_AD_SUPER_USER_HDB was missing after updating the entry now the password is getting copied from the clipboard, but unfortunately it is taking lot of time to load and never connects. I have to end the sessions and log off from the system with no luck. Do you know what might be the issue..?
Regards,
Neeraj
hi Neeraj,
check if there are authorization issues.
tcode SU53 on target/source system, depending on your scenario. For both the actual user and the FF user.
Might be that the generation of the FF password is not authorized.

HI Marcelo,
Thanks for your inputs.
Yes the connector settings and the role maintained in the parameter 4010 is already assigned to the ffid if it wasnt the case then i would have not been able to assign the firefighter with the ffid and neither would have appeared in the cockpit.

Hi Neeraj.
Considering that your connector settings are correctly done and that you've setup your FF Id on HANA side (including assigning a role with the same name as the one set in parameter 4010), after you setup this FF ID in GRC (owner, controller and associated users) it would be ready to be used by calling GRAC_EAM tcode on GRC side (afaik, decentralized FF is not yet available for HANA).
After choosing your FF ID, clicking at "Logon" and filling the session details, HANA login screen should be automatically called without login details filled (you need to manually fill user id and password).
With the error you are getting, it seems like the FF Id is not yet set in your HANA side.
