Dear Expert,
We are using SAP Business One Version 10.0, Hotfix 1. We are using Posting Period financial year (January to December). One of our fixed assets was transferred to a new asset class in March. However, when we generate the Asset History Sheet, the report displays the entire year’s values under the new asset class, instead of reflecting the asset class that was valid during each specific period.
Expected Behavior:
We expect the report to display:
January to March: Asset values under the original asset class
April to December: Asset values under the new (target) asset class
Issue/Concern:
The report currently shows values from January to December under the new class only, ignoring the class change mid-period.
We need to determine whether this is a configuration gap, standard behavior, or if there is an alternative standard report to achieve the correct split.
Request for Support:
Please advise:
If there is any standard configuration or setting required to enable correct split reporting
Whether SAP provides a standard report that reflects asset class changes within the year
Any possible workaround or SAP Note addressing this scenario
Thanks & Regards,

Hi @silambarasan_RS ,
I don't have much knowledge on SAP Business one, however, what i know is SAP business one is mostly transaction based system. Here you're trying to validate asset history report which is master data driven, so this gap will always exists.
Try to create custom SQL query which reads asset class change log, posting date of transaction and asset class change date, based on which you should get accurate data.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Divyesh
