[ASK] EPM Add-In Show Blank (cannot show properly)

Hi guys,

I have problem with EPM add-in, some dialog box cannot display properly.

The left side of EPM Sheet Options is blank :

The right side of EPM Report Editor with tab options does not show anything :

This picture icon very small and some text become hide (I cannot change the size of the box) :

I am using :

EPM Add-In 10.0 SP 20 Patch 1 (before I used SP 17, has the same issue).

Windows 8.1

Office 2013

Screen resolution 3200 x 1800 (I have adjusted lower resolution until 1366 x 768 but no effect)

Please advice me what should I do.

did someone find a solution yet?

We are facing the same problem with SP24 and Windows 10.

The only workaround seems to be an adjustment of scaling to 100% (standard for 1920p)

or changging the resolution to 1920p in windows display settings.

Hi Eric,

I think you have to contact SAP support. Unfortunately EPM forms behave very bad on high resolution with magnification. There is no magic solution.

Hi Cosmas,

As I already told you EPM Add-In is not perfect with high resolution and enlarged screen fonts. You can't actually do a lot if the latest SP is not a solution. You have to talk directly to SAP support asking to correct things in the next SP (sometimes it may take half a year...).

ok, its def your text scaling setting that mess up the layout. your icons are very small but text are very large.

try make your text small.

or try using an external screen and check if this is still happening.

Can you please take a screen shot of EPM add in with your high DPI switched off?

Please tell me how to switch off high DPI in excel, cause I right click desktop application has no item call properties.

Hi Cosmas,

You need to create a shortcut of excel program. then right click on the shortcut, then properties.

Untick high DPI there. then run excel.

Hi Andy,

The excel properties do not have "Compatibility" tab, it only has General, Shortcut, Security, Details. I have checked, no high DPI thing in the properties.

Hi Cosmas,

You need to find the application in program folder/ MS office, find the excel.exe then create a shortcut of that exe, then right click on that shortcut.
