Hi Dear Experts,

When importing fixed asset posting data, the following error occurred. The fiscal year 2025 period for the fixed asset is open, but only ledger 0L is reporting errors, while ledger 2L shows no issues and passes successfully. How can I resolve these errors to import the data properly?

The screenshot below shows the error message:

The attachment is a file used for importing.

Please suggest.

Thank you very much.Best Regards!

Hello @yahaha

To resolve this issue for ledger 0L, check and open the relevant periods in Asset Accounting for the specific depreciation area linked to ledger 0L:

Step-by-step solution (S/4HANA Public Cloud):

1.App: “Manage Fixed Asset Periods” (App ID: F1603)

◦ Use this app to open asset periods for the required company code and fiscal year.

2.Check the following:

◦ Ensure the company code is correct.

◦ Confirm that fiscal year 2025 is open for:

▪ Ledger 0L

The relevant depreciation area

◦ Make sure periods 01–12, or at least the current period, are marked as open.

3.App: “Define Depreciation Areas

◦ Verify which depreciation area is assigned to ledger 0L (e.g., area 01 or 10).

◦ Cross-check this with the information in the import error log.

4. Import again once all necessary periods are open in ledger 0L.

Note: Occasionally in S/4HANA Public Cloud, simulation runs may work in ledger 2L (e.g., for reporting), while 0L fails due to stricter local settings. Always use 0L as. your reference for period control.

Let me know if it works

Thank you and kind regards

Dear Chuma,Thank you very much for your answer. But there are 2 questions I would like to confirm with you. 1. about the first step, according to the name or id of the app, I can't find the corresponding app, if it's the accounting year of the recognized assets, is it this "Make Company Code Settings - Asset Accounting-Specific" (ID: F7312)? If it's this one, I've opened the fiscal year 2025, but it still reports the same error message. 2. regarding the app in step 3, I didn't find the corresponding app. I hope you have more detailed instructions if possible, thank you very much for confirming!
