Hi Dear Experts,
I would like to import/post fixed asset data into the system, but I'm encountering the following error. How can I resolve this?
The screenshot below shows the error message:
Below is a screenshot of the system"Make Company Code Settings - Asset Accounting-Specific"
Attached are the files used for the import.
Please suggest.
Thank you very much.Best Regards!

Hello dear user,
And thank you for asking your question in the SAP community blog.
You're getting this error because the transaction you're trying to post happens before the legacy asset transfer date you've set in the system - which is December 31, 2024 for asset 1510 20000025-0.
In SAP, once you've done a legacy transfer, the system doesn't allow you to post anything before that transfer date unless you're doing a mid-year transfer, and even then, it still has to be within the same fiscal year.
Since your transfer date is right at the end of the year (12/31/2024), SAP expects that all new transactions start from January 1, 2025 onward. That’s why your posting is being rejected.
What you can do:
Option 1: Adjust your posting date
Just change the posting date of your transaction to any date from 2025 onward. That should fix the issue if you're just trying to record normal activity after the legacy upload.
Option 2: If you do need to post something in 2024
Then you'll need to redo your asset legacy transfer as a mid-year transfer (like 30.06.2024 or earlier), and make sure your values reflect that earlier date. This allows you to post things in the second half of 2024.
I hope this will help answer your question.
Best regards,
Jeremy
