Allowance Creation and Activation Upon Subscription Contract Submission in SOM

Hi Team,

We would require the allowance to be automatically created and activated in Convergent Charging (CC) at the time the Subscription Contract is submitted in Subscription Order Management (SOM).

Despite following the SAP Help guidelines, the allowance is still not being generated. The steps taken so far are:

• Created an Allowance Plan with the Service Identifier set to "ALLOW".
• Defined the Allowance Component as a 'one-shot' rate.
• Created a Mapping Table Class with "ALLOW_DEF_ID" as input, and "ALLOW_DIF_DESC", "BucketQuantity", and "Validity" as outputs.
• Maintained the Mapping Table and assigned it as a parameter in the Charge Plan.
• Created an Allowance Definition Group and assigned an Allowance Definition ID with a released status.
• Enabled CCM with the Allowance Definition Group ID, using "Full Table" as the Assignment Rule.
• Created a Subscription Order, expecting the allowances to be reflected in the item, but no allowances are appearing in the SOM order.

Could you please help identify if any specific steps have been missed? I’m looking for guidance on how to ensure the allowance is created correctly via SOM upon the submission of the initial order.

Hi,
If you want to create the allowance automatically in CC during contract creation the following is needed:

1. In the allowance definition group you must set the flag for contract creation.
2. In the CCM mapping you must assign this allowance definition group.

When I understand you correctly, you missed step 2 and you assigned "Full Table". So, you should change your CCM mapping and then it should work.
