Allocation based on Journal entry

Hello, I am in SAP S4H Public Cloud and I wonder whether we can do allocation based on a given journal entry posting in Universal Allocation. I dont want to allocate the whole balance of the cost center and GL account because there is not only this JE posting. I want to allocate only a given journal entry. Is that possible in SAP S4H Public Cloud?

You're hitting on an important limitation in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud when it comes to Universal Allocation.

Current Situation in Public Cloud :

In Universal Allocation (using apps like Manage Allocations, Run Allocations), the system allocates balances from cost centers or other senders based on actual balances or statistical key figures, but does not allow allocation based on individual journal entries.

So to clarify:

You can allocate:

• Total actual cost balances
• Based on sender object + G/L account + period
• Using percentage or statistical drivers

You cannot:

• Select and allocate a specific journal entry
• Allocate based on journal entry reference or document number
