Adding the Messages to the Activity

Dear friends,

I am wondering about adding the messages to the activity for control settings for Communication Process.

Very recently I am working on my first ever Export Declaration for GB (Still few things to be sorted to complete though) and I could add the messages to the activity (M1620, I3100, I3110 for CUSGB, CUSEX, EXNVA at counter 10) with consultation from someone.

However If I want to configure for AU,NL, BE, DE or for even US How will I know which messages should be relevant for those activity and which messages can be sent to the respective customs office when I get connected to them via Seaburger?

Even a clue or however small contribution to this topic, will be accepted with huge thanks and respect.

Kind Regards,

Alex.

Hi Alex,

That configuration should already be provided as standard. If necessary, ask your Basis team to give you access to client 000 in your system, so that you can check there.

Otherwise, you can get good clues by checking the Message Scheme, since each Message is configured for the relevant Scheme - for example, Message M1620 is assigned to Scheme 'CUS_GB'. In the IMG, you can easily find all Messages for a Scheme, by selecting the entries "by content"; otherwise use Transaction SE16 - the table is /SAPSLL/TLEACM, as I remember.

Then, check the Technical Message Type assigned to each entry, and match up against the specifications issued by the relevant Customs Authority.

If you don't mind my asking; are you an employee of a GTS customer with activities in those countries, or are you starting up as a consultant?

Regards,
Dave

Thanks Dave for your kind reply. I understand now.

I was working as system administrator for salesforce and then I moved to SAP Order Entry person, since I am more inquisitive, I started learning all about SAP first of SAP SD and once I became confident now I am working more on SAP GTS and want to work as a consultant in near future in the same company in U.K

I am now 26 years and started my career just after A levels ( at18 years). Since I am working as enduser therefore I am quite familiar with the end users issues but what happens behind my screen is my quest 🙂

Kind Regards,

Alex.
