Adding a new instance in the current SAP CC infrastructure

Hello all,

Currently, in a client we have a running SAP CC having a single instance per instance type. As soon as the number of customers is increased it could be needed to add another instance to the current infrastructure. (suppose adding 2 more guides and raters)

Is that possible? Is there any official document where I can further check? Or it is can only be done during the installation of the system?

Hello Doris,

Of course, you can add instances of SAP CC after its initial installation. This is what makes its horizontal scalability. This is described on the SAP Help Portal in the Installation and Maintenance Guide here: Adding Core Server Instances in a Multi-Hosts Landscape
