Is it recommended to add z fields to SAP standard table FMIOI?

If it is - to use append structure?

Well, once you phrased as "is it recommended" - the answer is 'no'. If you ask, is it possible - then, yes 🙂

The challenge is not to add fields to the table, though, but to fill/read them correctly on the relevant occasions.

Basically

• Check yourself with SE11 -> menu: Extras, Enhancement category
• For standard ddic SAP objects, such as table or structure, use append structure

But, what's your actual requirement?
