Hi GTS Gurus,

first of all I like to declare I am a newbie for GTS and trying to learn GTS from SCN, online notes etc... and therefore I have heavy dependency on my seniors and I have huge respects for them while asking there help.

So now coming to the topic.

I have submitted the customs declaration in Step 10 and did simulation from the communication tab and then I can see the simulation window is updated as well.

Once the customs declaration is received by customs authority, I want to receive the acknowledgement in step 20, however I tried to search the config in activity sequence where step 20 is there an messages are there. however step 20 is missing from simulation window.

missing counter 20 from simulation

How can I get that to get my acknowledgement is my query.

Thanks for reading this and looking forward for your kind help.

Kind Regards,

Alex Kid

Hi Alex,

Sorry for a delayed reply - I have been on holiday for the past two weeks, with limited time and no access to systems!

Obviously I'm not sure about your 'YGB_..' Action Profile. The standard one (seemingly not delivered with GTS 11.0) calls Form /SAPSLL/PF_EU_ABD_EN. You should assign Message Scheme 'CUS_GB', and Incompletion Procedure 'EU_EXP_SAD' to the Message.

The accompanying document is only needed for indirect exports. In those cases, the Declaration is sent automatically to ECS (the EU Export Control System), and the movement across the EU must be closed by the Office of Exit, by entering the MRN. The Accompanying Document carries the MRN in bar-coded form, so that the Office of Exit staff can easily scan it into the ECS. For direct exports from the UK, the Declaration does not need to be sent to the ECS, and no printed form is needed.

Actually, when I think about it, the iDoc simulator tool will not try to process a printed form (only messages that use iDocs, obviously!), so I'm not sure that configuring the EAD will help here. Probably you are already seeing the correct Activities in the list.

Hope that helps.

Regards,
Dave

Hi Alex,

In that Activity Sequence, Activity 20 is set as "optional", meaning that it is only entered if a relevant Message is determined.

For the UK, the optional message is generally the P0710 Export Accompanying Document, which is required only for Indirect Exports, so unless the Office of Exit is in another EU country, the message will not be determined.

Hope that helps.

Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply "( the optional message is generally the P0710 Export Accompanying Document, which is required only for Indirect Exports)"but in that case how to achieve the direct export from GB? What would be the message no: for direct export in that case?

In my opinion GB should be able to do the direct exports but I think I am missing some message in that case. As I dont know what message it could be so I have created a message ZP450 - Export Accompanying Document and the configuration for this is as in inset and tried with it still doesnt work.

can you please verify if it is right?

Kind Regards,

Alex.

Hello Alex,

Hopefully, I got your question right. For every action, there needs to be a message. Define the messages under activities. If you want to receive a message from customs, there needs to be a message (under Activities). Let me attach the config for import process template. You then define the Message Type (of the IDOC) to receive from customs or customs broker.
